So to start off I'm going to cover what I had planned for 2009 and then go into this year's, hopefully, you'll get a kick out of it!
2009 Goals:
- Graduate College & go to community
- Redo Resume
- Get a suitable (standable) job
- Get BJD (E-an) <3
- Get a Mac (because mine is old and slow p-q)
- Possibly go to the Discworld North America convention
- See Vic in October
- Go to Faeriefest in November
- Possibly snag a trip to Washington State
- Survive Christmas &/or New Years
The others in Bold and in Italics are things that I had a run-in with
So, let's get started!
I did graduate from DeVry in June without a problem, very happy to do so, however, I have run into quite a few snags with the jr college. It actually made DeVry look like a well-oiled machine. So, community has been on hold until I can afford to do so, not just with funds, but to have a want to do it. That's the major thing right now, because they left me with a very sour taste in my mouth.
In all this mess, I'm not sure I got around to doing anything with my resume, I know there was a time, I attempted, but I'm not sure if I was fruitful in that.
Next thing, I did buy a BJD, however, it wasn't the E-an model from DOD that I wanted. Instead, I bought a LittleFee from Fairyland. Awesome company! Love LOVE LURVE them! Looking to do business with them again real soon!
Oh, y'all will get a kick out of this one. 2 weeks before I graduated from DeVry, my comp showed me it was on its last legs. I got a blue screen of death, with a very ominous message with "fatal" things and Windows had to shut down. THAT was fun. So, I thought I would buy a Mac for the jr college I was going to, BUT, they said they didn't use Macs. So, wanting to be in with the requirements of the school, I returned it and bought the one I'm using now. HOWEVER, when I got to my first class, our entire class was programmed in, you guessed it, MACs. I was so... freaking.... upset, it wasn't funny. Thus, is one reason I am no longer wasting my time with them down there... :: hot ::
Oh, Yay! Yes, I did see Vic, I was very happy!! I also got to talk to Steve Blum and asked him to do Guimon (Digimon) and I nearly squeed like a rabid fangirl at a yaoi panel. Thankfully, he stroked my ego with putting the classic line; "let's eat some bread [together]" on my con badge and saying it aloud. :: dances :: I wanted to hug him so badly!! >w<
BTW: I get to see Vic again in Tucson come March at Con-Nichiwa, more on that later
Ok, on these last 2 points I'm gonna summarize in 1 paragraph! XD
Yes, I did go to Faeriefest with a friend... also got to hear the roar of PIR after we left, oh, yea, we got to chill with 4 authors and some awesome people who work at our indy bookstore! One author I will see come May at our Phoenix ComiCon, so yay! On another high point. The end of the year was actually very subdued considering 2009 in an overall fashion. It was one of the better years where no one was at each other's throat. New Year's couldn't have come any sooner.
SO
Where does this leave me for 2010?
Well, I'm glad you asked!
2010 Goals:
- Buy a PukiFee from Fairyland
- Matsuri
- Ren Faire
- Con-Nichiwa in Tucson, they're real first anime con I believe...
- My 22nd b-day (hard to believe I know)
- ComiCon in May on Memorial Weekend
- Anime Kaigi in Flag, excited because it's their first too!!!
- Job // resume // money (o' course not in that sequence lol)
- Closer to moving to Seattle?
- Catching up on my reading
- Faeriefest in November
- Saboten-Con? (hasn't been planned)
I think I've covered things well... so, I'll update every now and then, and until next year, take care!

yes, that's right, I'm actually posting...
yes, I did see that my last update was in May
I am happy to announce that I am no longer at DeVry! Graduated in June, and now I'm back in school going for 2, yes, TWO certificates at a jr college...
so I'm doing that.... then there's the fact I'm without a job still, but that's alright 83
I'm not in a hurry to deal with stupid people.... yes, I do mean "stupid" because they seem to be insulted that I'm smarter than them D8
so there's that....
I did get the new Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box last week, just finished it last night! 8D
I'm looking forward to the new My Sims game next Tuesday along with the new KH game....
for some reason I couldn't really get into the PS2 games... :: is sad ::
loved the music, just couldn't get into it.... :: tear ::
other than that.... I'm hanging on.... I've been trying to hang out with some friends from high school to keep up with them, but... life's been hectic... so y'all know how that is... it's really tested us this year
so... I'm signing off for now, but hope this finds y'all good 83

So.... I'm sitting here, listening to Disney music because there's nothing much else that's filling that vacant gap.
I'm..... huh, what should I say...? I'm tired? XD
Guess everyone is anymore..... meh... ok, moving on....
So, I've kinda gotten out of it with Gaia, since I've become obsessed with BJDs. If you don't know, I dare you NOT to read this bjd-wtf.livejournal.com/ because it is the best damn tutorial that my friend gave me. Of course I don't exactly have one yet, need say.... oh, about $600... actually.... $635.... plus shipping, I'm assuming.... but...
ANYWAY.... if you know the language of the BJD world... then you'll understand what I'm about to say. Yes, I understand I have a loooooooooooooooooooooooooong way to go in understanding this hobby.... or lifestyle as I've seen throughout my research the past couple weeks.
So, that being said....
On Dream of Doll there's a DOT called E-an, that is simply adorable. I've already set up an entire filing system complete with pictures and a library of URLs for different sites regarding this fetish.
What can I say?
I like unique things
I'm surprised........ that I've come this far in this field. I've semi-planned out a trip to L.A. to see the Volks store there.... and its very tempting to set up someone for an Omukae.
As I kept reading, it kinda gave me the urge to make a photostory of my own. I've already decided on becoming a writer, and what better way to practice than with a photostory?
My characters seem to develop with or without me....
I'm more Gothic in this section than the Victorian styles. They are nice, but they aren't for me. I'd like to add a steampunk fashion to my wardrobe as well. I gotta admit an outfit isn't complete without goggles! XD
I have Platinum.... have had it sense March.... then school got in the way D8
I'm almost done with the badges... got 1 more to go (lol)
I also managed to get Girantina~
I know not really an achievement.... but.... after going through the Distortion World (aka Origin... as I still call it.... darn translators... ) twice
I figured I should come out with something since otherwise I'd have nothing, 'cept saying something like; "I went through the Origin... and all I got was lousy satisfaction of stopping Cyrus and his world domination scheme." So.... I think, "I CAUGHT GIRANTINA!" is much shorter. XD
Then, later I'd been working on my "friendship" with my Eevee.... which was not female... otherwise I'd have my Kit... D8 so, I gave it the most attention at night, and just so happened to have a couple Rare Candies handy... so popped one in the critter's mouth and POOF! I got Umbreon~
So, I have this Umbreon with the Blackglasses XD because it just ain't cool enough without 'em.
well, there isn't much... I wanna go to Cali, but.... :: sigh :: it'll only be for a weekend and that makes me sick..... I wanna spend some more time than that in San Diego.... =-= it ain't fair.
I don't know if I did a list of expected things for 2009....
well, here's a revised version:
2009 Goals:
- Graduate College & go to community
- Redo Resume
- Get a suitable (standable) job
- Get BJD (E-an) <3

2010 Goals:

- ComiCon on Memorial Day

I am SO FREAKING SORRY!
I've been bogged down, and most of all I've not been in the mood to write a blog entry.
So a new year has come and so dawns the countdown for my college graduation at DeVry.
Yes! That's right, I graduate sometime in June... yea, dunno when XD I'm thinking the 22nd, but I could be wrong, knowing how DeVry switches crap on us unsuspecting students :: gawk ::
I dunno if I posted that I met 6 authors last year alone, and hope to increase that number by this year's end!
So why haven't I posted crap on here?
I've been swamped... more or less with life's little wonders... no people I'm still single and loving life, no counterpart XD
Unless you count my Wii and my Mii obsession, seriously... the awesome Mii Channel thing where you can horde yer faves and toss 'em into say the Pokemon Ranch of W-I-N... I've also discovered the Brock Mii I collected is a Bi SoB, and is a jigolo. I kid you not people. Oo'
I have nothing wrong with people of different sex-types... but I ain't having no Brokeback Ranch if ya get what I'm saying... and that ain't no amusement park with no darn sheep (for the people who understand this comment; need to get out more other than watching almost as much TV as I do)
I also know I still have yet to finish that series, Planes, Trains and Automobiles, but alas, I am not on my laptop because the Wi-Fi is wigging on me right now...
I'm also sick of life's dead ends... one being this darn economy and it not wanting me to go off to fulfill my most sought after desires... I at least have a plan, which is something, but I've had to push my plans back at least a year to maybe 2 years... I ain't happy.
Um... ComiCon is about a week away and I'm excited... I get to see some people I haven't seen in a good while, and there's a Totoro backpack with my name on it >m>
I'm still into anime, but it's hard to sift through the crappy animes, if you've heard me critize some, you know the ones I'm talking about, otherwise I'm not posting that colorful dialogue XD
Hmmm... what else?
I'm not doing the Ren Faire this year, because of school, starting in a couple weeks I'm gonna have a group project for my online class... I'm not entirely sure what's gonna go on there but life's an adventure...
OH!!! Big thing... my fam has become insanely interested in genealogy... I have no idea why, but since I'm a history buff I must admit I'm curious. On my mom's dad's side we were able to access information dating back to at least 1793, since that was my 7 generation grandfather XD or in other context... my great-great-great-great-great-grandfathe
so that was cool... and that the place he was born at was actually at 1 time a Greek settlement in Italy right on the tip of the boot... and that there's a street named after one of the ancestors AND...
the fact my family is similar to that of My Big Fat Greek Wedding, I again... kid you not. If it wasn't a Domenic it was Bruno, or Antonio, or Maria.... it was kinda disturbing to the point of us cracking up hysterically.
I'm hoping my aunt on my dad's side let's me borrow that side of the family's data, as well as my oma who has a book about our family.
Aso... that's about it, so I think I should sign this off, & hopefully check back here soon XD
I keep saying that, but I haven't really been online all that much.
So, laterz

As it becomes autumn here in Arizona, I'm reminded why I hate the end months of the year. Snowbirds =_='
'nuff said...
So, as I type this because Facebook and MySpace seem to hate my school's internet connection, I can't help but think of next year. What's happening next year?
Well, by this time next year, I plan on moving to Seattle and working at Microsoft.
No, this won't be some other Twilight expedition, though, most of my friends and relatives will be visiting for that reason @.@"
I'll be happy... see something other than brown dirt ALL year round, why y'all think I'm happy when it rains here?
Seattle = 30+ inches of rain per year <3
I've also scoped out cons in the area, and pretty much set.

However...
I am still editing it. The storyline has been written out, and what I'm currently doing is to clean up the timeline... and smoothing that over. But since I hadn't posted it on LiveJournal I thought I would now... I haven't had a lot of time to do a lot fo things, because I'm currently in the middle of an 8-week project XD so... I can't really edit it much... but don't be expecting to see it sitting in stores anytime soon, because I want to get through school still be a little under the scene. I'd like to be out of school and working... if I could I'd also like to start working at Disney before it came out, but I don't think my enthusiasm would allow that to happen. We'll see.
That's it for now... and I'll finish posting the rest of my exciting tails of Plane, Trains, & Automobiles. So be sure to check back soon!

DAY 1 ~ The Grand Canyon
My first land trip to the Grand Canyon seemed to go more smoothly than most of the other trips I’ve had this year. It was an early Flagstaff morning for me as my family drove to Williams. It wasn’t a bad trip, but I was more tired than anything. I could feel the nerves building inside of me, because this was the first trip I’ve ever had in a train. We were taking the Grand Canyon Railroad Railway to the South Rim.
It was a cool morning in Williams with partly cloudy skies. I was more interested in the parked train engine at the depot than the makeshift shoot-out they had with erected bleachers. Apparently, you can’t go wrong with these.
As the shoot-out was under way our train pulled up. It was to be one of two trips to the “ditch,” as I like to call it. Ours pulled away from the depot shortly after 9 AM. It was a nice trip, even though we kept getting double-booked seats. Thankfully, it was open seating and everyone just wanted a good time instead of worrying about where they were sitting. 2 hours and 15 minutes it takes the precious train to get to the Grand Canyon from Williams, and vice versa.
The train was one of the smoothest rides I’ve ever been in, I felt more motion when people were boarding and leaving the train itself than on the trip itself. It was nice, and unfortunately, they weren’t going to allow tired civilians sleep on the way up or coming back.
On the way up we had an entertainer with the stage name, “Clyde” and he had his guitar hoping to be on a train to Tucson, I was thinking it that were the case, if he’d let me hitch a ride to Picacho Peak (if you don’t get this you need to read my posts more often).
So, the trip went on, and Clyde got around to about maybe his… fifth song? He asked if there were any Johnny Cash fans and the car erupted in joy. Thus, the Ring of Fire began. He was nearly by me when he turned to me and asked my name. I told him what it was and he shouted, “This one’s for Kelly!” Then proceeded to get down on one knee and serenade me. It was funny, because normally I would’ve felt I needed to deck the guy, but I just sang along with him.
We FINALLY get there and we decided to go find someplace to eat. Unfortunately for me, when I travel areas, I tend to let my body adjust to the surroundings before I start eating anything. So, I only had water. After we were satisfied enough, we decided to trek back to the rim. Just as we were approaching the RR crossing a clap of thunder interrupted over head. Remember that partly cloudy sky? Well, it was still partly cloudy. What I mean is that there were still partial blue skies with dark, let alone heavy gray clouds. Then the rain started. It wasn't a heavy rain, but it was still enough to make everything cold and wet.
Just for future reference for those interested in going to the “ditch” do not, I repeat, DO NOT go to the South Rim. It is the biggest tourist trap in the west besides Disneyland. If you have an ounce of sanity, as I do not anymore, because the brave squirrels of the GC took it from me while I was there, you will take these words to heart.
So, the rest of the interesting day was to follow. While we were at the “ditch” the Red Line was inactive because it was under construction and will not reopen until November of this year. I was able to get some nice valley shots of the “ditch.” But as for myself, I came home with a few books; however, those will come later…
Can anyone tell me one of the rarest creatures that you ought to be lucky enough to see at the Grand Canyon? Anyone?
If you said the 10ft wing-spanned predatory bird the California Condor, you’d be correct. However, at the time that I spied him, I thought it was just a regular turkey vulture. So… later, while sorting pictures, I revealed to have kept one of them!
As we continued our trip up the concrete path with the said tourists we came across some fascinating buildings. One is called the Hopi House, it is a mock representation of an actual Hopi house, go figure. I warn those of you who are tall, like me, to mind your head while you’re in this building, because it isn’t for an NBA player, or let alone a 6’1” college student. Remember those books? Yes, I bought them at this place. There is a room in the back of the shop that is set 10” down from the main shop and has that much lower of a ceiling. Needless to say, WATCH YOUR FREAKING STEP. This was the book room. I was crammed in a room of a family of five and a few other people. I had to lean over most of them just to see what was on the shelves. I managed to unearth a few treasures. 3 books and a few bookmarks. The books were about the legends of Arizona, the mythology and legends of Native Americans and the astrology they use. I was in heaven.
With a few books in hand, I let my mom hold them while I braved the upper room gallery of the Hopi House. She didn’t like the 1 and a half foot wide staircase that only let one person up or down the staircase at a time. So, I went up, and I stood aghast. It was the most interesting place I’d ever seen. It was a gallery of Native American crafts, and the thing was, if you could afford it, you could BUY them. It was simply AMAZING.
When I got out of the small ceiling house I found my mom, but my father was nowhere in sight. So, I told mom to go one way and I’d go on ahead to see if that’s where he went. I finally found him and he was wondering where we were and well, so were we. After being separated we decided to go on up a little farther to take a break.
That’s when I noticed a sign that read; “Verkamp’s,” another shop. My idea of a souvenir is a windchime. Yes, I’m crazy. So, mom and I point blank told my dad that we were going in there, unlike the first time, when he didn’t hear us, the point of our separation. While in the store, I found a few windchimes, but I wasn’t exactly bought on one style. That was… until, I found it. “It” was a wolf backpack that I later took with me to the Breaking Dawn release. But, I’m getting ahead of myself.
So, thankfully, mom persuaded me not to buy the $24 windchime and settle on something I could actually use.
I should’ve mentioned we only had a couple hours to spend at the South Rim, because our train left at about… 3:30? I don’t remember exactly. Our time was nearly up, and the heat was starting to get to us, after the rain stopped falling.
So we sat and rested the rest of the time before they let us board the train and I thought about what had happened. I had someone serenade me, saw the legendary condors, seen the “ditch,” and I had someone compliment me on my T-shirt I was wearing in one of the shops.
On the way back to Williams, we took the same train on back to the depot. But that was before we were ambushed by train robbers. Apparently, they don’t take pens as collateral… but, we ended up leaving one of them on horseback as the train slowly pulled away from the stop.
After we dealt with the delinquents we hit some heavy rain, and noticed that the San Franciscos were being bombarded with a severe thunderstorm, this does come into play on the next day…
All along the way back, we kept passing these poles, they were the old telegraph/telephone lines, and the reason they’re so small is because they’re as tall as a man standing on his horse. Yes, I did say standing.
Overall it is needless to say, other than the pain in my feet, I had a pretty decent trip.I knew the next adventure was going to be just as great, if not even better!

Just so you know I plan on making up a few posts to tell you about my adventures this summer session of school, and boy, let me tell you, I had one HELLOVA trip, and it ain't over just yet.
I haven't seen any cows coming home, or pigs flying, but I can assure you you will have some interesting reading material from me. I have also been working on The Host icons, if y'all are on Facebook and have the My Flair app added you might've seen some of my work dedicated to The Host characters. The shiny blue graceful font with their names on it, yup, those were done by yours truly, of course I wouldn't have had the insprite of doing it if it weren't for the creative mind of Stephenie Meyer. I've been on too much of a Host kick to get resituated in the world of Twilight.
My hopes and dreams were shattered about watching said movie when Entertainment Weekly did their front cover with Twilight. So... anyway... I'm leaving it at that...
Over the course of the next few weeks I'll have a special going Planes, Trains, and Automobiles, and this isn't my rendition of the movie with Steve Martin and John Candy. For, this summer I would have accomplished all three when I arrive in Theif RIver Falls, Minnesota. I'm looking forward to it, considering I haven't seen much of anyone from that neck of the woods. But I have heard rumors of myself being kidnapped by a certain relative. We shall see!
Oh, and I might have some help with a few new characters to help express my adventures, because they are fun and inferriorating, yet I haven't locked them in my character box.
I've updated my MySpace profile, and if you aren't a friend of my you won't be able to view it. You can see it here
But unfortunately I must draw this update to a close. I've been quite busy squaring everything away, and I have school tonight. I also need to finish my projects for my classes. I'm proud of my web design skills because I've surpassed what I thought I was capable of doing. I'm looking forward to how it will all look once I'm done with it, I might even upload it as a zip and y'all can take a look at it, but you need to tell me that XD
I've also got some tails of authors I happened to meet, so far I'm up to 5 for this year, and I don't know what tomorrow will bring, but isn't that the great thing? Expecting the unexpected?
I have a few more words to disclose with you, how I approach being an author, but I'll save that for another day!
In any case...
I'll talk to y'all later!
I might even post in Minnesota~
Sowieso...

Well, I think if it was turned into a movie, I'd have to talk to the director to allow me to act as myself. I'd give props to ANYONE who could act the way I do. Hell, I'd do an independent film where everyone just acted their own parts. It'd be more entertaining than anything, and rewarding instead of feeling the need to replace anyone because one didn't approve of them being there. I believe its important for people to be themselves instead to have a script, when it flows more naturally than some piece of paper.

I think I love Wanda because I see a lot of myself in her, the way she thinks things through, even though she can be a little dense at times, just like me, where the answer isn't always so obvious... and the way she reacts to the one scene of the... well, light term, "dissection" scene, and she screams, "monsters" well... I wouldn't have reacted too far off that mark either.
And the other reason why I chose Ian was because of his ability to see things from a different person's point of view, which I think is a great quality for any person to have. That makes him understand easier than his prejudice brother Kyle, as well as from Jared. Ian is willing to accept Wanda for her differences, and in turn falls in love with her.
As for the fictional character... I have to resort to the anime/manga Fushigi Yugi: A Mysterious Play. Miaka... oh, god... I love Yuu Watase with all my heart. I love almost all her other series... HOWEVER... this little character, Miaka... drives me plum crazy. I dunno what it is about her, but I absolutely irrefutably despise the little wretch with my entire being. To me she is the most annoying creature ever to be created in a fictional work. I feel like she takes her role as priestess for granted... she's supposed to be someone of authority and to be kind to people, instead of being whiny and most of all a person who'd rather gorge herself on a meal.
She didn't even try hard enough to show her friend when she had gone through that horrible time, that she was still there for her, even though her "friend" wouldn't see it that way. I can't help but think she didn't do all that she could've. To me a friend wouldn't just give up, they should continue to pursue the truth and to bring to light all the evidence. AND even if this is the case, I don't see it. Nor, do I care, because I just don't like Miaka... I'd rather watch Ranma 1/2 over gagging on some Miaka monologue about how she can't live without Tamahome. Believe me... LIFE GOES ON EVEN AT ITS BLEEKEST
So... that's my spiel so... whatever...

I'd love to be cast in this late 70s early 80s show. It was about a small time radio station in Cinncinati, Ohio, and oh my gosh... they don't make 'em like that anymore. I would seriously consider being one of the DJs. They have way too much fun, but show how a radio station acts like a family.
